requests and concerns will be held in confidence.
There is childcare available for children birth – 4 years old in the Nursery and Toddler Rooms on the upper courtyard, and the Family Worship Room is located at the back of the Sanctuary on the right.
The Meaning Behind Today’s Sanctuary Cross…
The dark cross in front represents us and our brokenness. All the small pieces are our sins, our issues, our busyness; things in our life that drag us down each day. For example, this piece is that person I hold a grudge against, this is when I acted unkindly, this is my lack of patience, and so forth. I am nailing all of these to the cross. I leave them here. I give them and myself to Christ to transform me from the inside. I can fix many things, but I can’t fix me. I can make it look like I am fixed but I need forgiveness and grace and I need to follow Jesus each day. He is my Force, my Power Source, and my Light. His light shines through my brokenness, which is represented by the light glowing from behind. May today’s meaning of the cross minister to each of us.
(With thanks to Greg Gillis-Smith for creating our Easter cross.)
In worship you are one with us. These notes are to help you feel at home and to participate more fully in worship.
Giving at the time of the morning offering is regular part of our worship. If you are a visitor, please do not feel pressured by this part of our showing our praise to God. Relax and prepare to let God speak to you through His word. The people of the congregation have made a commitment to the financial support of our shared ministry.
Following the benediction, we have a time for greeting those who are worshiping with us. We encourage you to introduce yourself to those around you that you may not know, and please join us for coffee and fellowship time on the patio or in Wilkinson Hall after the service.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Easter Lilies go on sale today! They will decorate the Sanctuary on Easter morning and may go home with you after the 10:30 service, or stop by the office the ~~ week after Easter. Your lily may commemorate a special person or event, or just represent your thanks for all that God and His Son have done in your life and world. Lilies will be on sale Sundays 3/13, and 3/20, from DaveHubbard or Mish Petersen. The lovely potted flowers are $20 each, and all proceeds go toward the MPC Youth Mission Trip to Jamaica, June 20-26. Please pay for your lily at time of purchase.

PARENT/CHILD COMMUNION CLASS: will be Saturday, April 16, 9:00 a.m. to noon, in Wilkinson Hall. The class will be co-led by Associate Pastor Janet Loughry and Children’s Ministries Director Paige McIlraith. This interactive, instructional, and fun class is a memorable way to introduce your 3rd – 5th grader to the Lord’s Supper, and is designed for children to share with at least one parent. The class is free, but you need to RSVP so there are enough materials (and snacks!) for everyone. Email Children’s Ministries Director Paige McIlraith to RSVP ([email protected]).
KIDLIFE WEDNESDAYS IN APRIL! Beginning April 6 and continuing through the month of April, MPC’s KidLife afterschool program will be providing fun and schoolwork help for 1st – 5th graders. Come to the church Sports Court, 2:45 – 4:15 p.m., for reading & math enrichment and homework help from trained and certified teachers, a snack, music and play. Questions? Contact Children’s Ministries Director Paige McIlraith ([email protected]) or Kara Ayers, Children’s Ministries Assistant ([email protected]).
SAVE THE DATE! On Friday, April 22, at 7:00 p.m., we will have a Family Fun Movie Night showing the film “No Ordinary Hero” including a Q&A with the director, Troy Kotsur. The film will be shown with open captions and an ASL interpreter will be provided. Check out the trailer here: https://vimeo.com/94560834. Mark your calendar for this fun evening! For more information about MPC’s Deaf Ministry, contact Joan Johnson at [email protected].
DINNER FOR 8: Sign up today for our next “Dinner for 8 at 6” on Saturday, April 16. The “Dinners for 8” evening is a fun and relaxing way to meet other people in MPC. Groups of eight (or so) meet for a potluck dinner in a host home. Then after dinner, two groups meet together for dessert. There is no “program”, just a nice chance to meet about 14 people in all for a great evening. Sign up at the fellowship table or contact Fellowship Elder Kathy Paul ([email protected]) directly.Flyers on the Life of the Church wall:

Call to Worship
March 27, 2016
Psalm 150
1Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
6Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.
